  • Mission statement

    StoneCrabs is a professional theatre company working with international and diverse practitioners to bring challenging and informative work to the stage. StoneCrabs particularly aims to provide up and coming practitioners the support and space to develop their style and voice while establishing themselves in the British theatre industry.

    Our charitable purposes are to
    1 Foster an appreciation and enjoyment of Theatre Arts and Drama;
    2 To provide education in the performing arts, in particular, but not exclusively for young people;
    3 Foster the use of Drama as an aid to personal and social development;
    4 Encourage the sharing of theatrical and social experiences

    We fulfil the Charity purpose by:
    1 producing innovative theatre productions. (e. G. Off The Wall – Soho Theatre 2010; Hanjo and Hell Screen – Oval House 2009; Basic – Hackney Empire 2007);
    2 Delivering of Theatre Apprenticeship Programme for Young People (including Young Directors Programme), now in its fourth year to local schools and community centres, in particular North Lewisham Schools Extended Services; The Albany; Catch 22 Youth Charity, and Lewisham Youth Services;
    3 Producing Research and Development theatre projects involving theatre professionals and young people on an advanced Level
    4 Providing internship and attachment opportunities in Theatre Projects for the development of Young People.
