Pitcaple Environmental Project

Pitcaple Environmental Project (PEP) is a community owned charitable project providing education and training in horticulture and environmental issues for people with disabilities.

Founded 2006

  • Mission statement

    The aim is to provide education, training and work opportunities for people with disabilities as well as creating volunteering opportunities. The project operates on organic principles with ongoing development of renewable energy generated on-site by a variety of sustainable technologies.

    1) We want to improve access and conditions on the PEP site for service users and visitors
    2) We want to support adults with learning disabilities and special needs
    3) We want to reduce social exclusion and marginalisation of adults with learning disabilities and special needs
    4) We want to provide access to work experience and training for adults with learning disabilities and special needs
    5) We want to equip adults with learning disabilities and special needs with the skills to achieve paid employment
