Manchester Lishi Arts

Manchester Lishi Arts teaches a form of Chinese Tai Chi and soft Kung Fu that is educational whilst also promotes health and well-being.

Founded 2006

  • Mission statement

Manchester Lishi Arts aims to provide opportunities for people living in Manchester to have access to whole-body breathing classes where they will receive excellent teaching in a welcoming, friendly environment. The charity wishes to help people gain the most from attending classes and to facilitate benefits to learning, skills, health, quality of life and overall wellbeing.

It will do this by teaching Lishi which is a daoist system of self cultivation that came from Weihai in the Shandong province of north east China. Manchester Lishi Arts is governed by the International Daoist Society and the Exercise, Movement and Dance Partnership (EMDP) which is the Sport England recognised lead NGB for movement and dance.

To cover all the costs of teacher training, promotion, established classes, venue hire and tuition the charitiy urgently requires donations to ensure the attendance costs do not limit access for people from low socio-economic groups and the most disadvantaged people living in Manchesters large housing estates.

    Please help by donating.
