  • Mission statement

TWAM (Tools with a Mission) provides a hand up rather than a hand out, recycling and refurbishing tools and equipment for education and training in the developing world, enabling recipients to become self-supporting. TWAM seeks through the gift of tools and equipment and the exchange of technical information to help the under privileged to obtain education and training that will enable them to learn the skills of a trade. Through the practising of such a trade or skill and the receipt of the necessary equipment, they are empowered to earn money to support their families with the provision of food, medical care and education. Additionally TWAM provides technical advice and physical assistance to small scale rainwater harvesting schemes. In the UK TWAM aims to offer opportunities for the retired or otherwise not working volunteers to contribute in a friendly social environment.
