Shape is a disability-led arts organisation that for over 30 years has been working to improve access to the arts and culture for disabled people.
We remain the only organisation representing disabled audiences, artists, employees and participants across the entire breadth of the arts, valued by disabled people and the arts sector, with both sides seeing us as the bridge that joins them.
Shape’s Vision is for disabled people to participate fully in the arts and cultural sector.
Shape’s Mission is to provide skills, opportunities and support for disabled artists, individuals and cultural organisations; and help build a more inclusive cultural sector.
Shape aims to:
- Shape as a sustainable organisation
- More high quality practice by disabled artists
- More disabled people employed in, and leading, the arts
- More disabled people as arts audiences
