The Gate is committed to providing a balanced programme of dancing, music, theatre, singing, visual arts and writing to the local community ensuring quality arts are accessible to all.

  • Mission statement

    The Gate Arts Centre is a community arts centre based in Roath, Cardiff. We believe in the inherent worth of creativity, and are committed to helping people discover, explore and develop their creative gifts. The Gate aims to make quality arts accessible for all and so inspire, challenge and develop individuals in the Roath and wider Cardiff community.
    The Gate has a programme that is open to all. This includes over 35 weekly classes catering for beginners to advanced levels, regular and one off events put on by both amateur and professional artists and companies, and a gallery area which exhibits work by local artists, art societies and schools. The Gate also has six resident arts companies.
