Orchestra of the Swan

The leading chamber orchestra in the West Midlands, resident at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Hereford Courtyard and Stratford Play House, OOTS has a 23-year record of bringing 45+ world-class concerts annually with international soloists to audiences, and delivering quality welfare and community services directly to beneficiaries. Up to 180 workshops take place each year in care homes and dementia cafes regionally alongside workshops in schools based around each residency.

    Orchestra of the Swan aims to:

    • We aim to entertain, educate and engage; to connect with our audiences, commission new works and create space for all – players, staff, trustees, volunteers and audiences – to be their best and enjoy!
    • To extend our already significant work with those living with dementia, including allying our work with academic research on the benefits of music in this area.
