    Afrika Tikkun aims to transform communities in South Africa from 'Cradle to Career' by supporting orphans and vulnerable children and equipping them with the skills needed to succeed in life.

    Our vision is of a South Africa, which through empowerment and education is able to bring hope to the lives of so many people who's lives are devastated by poverty and disease. The organisation is an award-winning NGO currently working in five informal settlements situated around Johannesburg and Cape Town, helping thousands of families every week.

    Afrika Tikkun aims to:

    • Strengthen the family so as to allow optimal development of the child
    • Dramatically improve the development of school going children through after-school programmes
    • Prepare young children aged 0-6 for school
    • Provide a health outreach service that encompasses treatment for illness and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle
    • Provide food and nutrition for all of our beneficiaries to aid their healthy development
