Friends of Benjamin Franklin House

In Benjamin Franklin's only remaining residence we advance education for public benefit through:

*A Historical Experience that makes real the life and times of Benjamin Franklin at 36 Craven Street

*A Student Science Centre for young people that encourages Franklin’s spirit of enquiry and brings children together to foster cross-cultural understanding and dialogue and British-American relations

*A Scholarship Centre for scholars, adult learners, and others, as a focal point in Europe for Benjamin Franklin and Franklin-related research

Franklin lived at Craven Street for the better part of sixteen years between 1757 and 1775 making contributions to diplomacy, science, letters, music and more. The House opened to the public for the first time on Franklin's 300th birthday in 2006.
