Street Talk

Street Talk takes mental health care out on to the streets to vulnerable, homeless women, many of whom have a mental health problem but who do not have access to health care. We work with women in street prostitution, trafficked women, addicts and other women vulnerable women who are excluded from care. There is frequently a mental health problem at the root of these womens' problems, poverty, homelessness, addiction but one of the consequences of their isolation is that they do not get the basic care which they need. They are trapped in a viscious spiral.

By focusing on their mental health and the root causes of their situation as well as by taking care out to the women, we hope that we might enble women to make the first step towards getting off the streets. The women we work with are the most excluded people of all, on our streets.
