Resurgo Trust

Resurgo helps church communities to develop excellent, sustainable initiatives that overcome social challenges, serving people of all faiths and none. By bringing together skills and resources from across the wider neighbourhood, we tackle complex issues in a truly transformative way. Our flagship initiative, Spear, works with unemployed 16-24-year-olds to help them overcome disadvantage and develop the skills they need to enter the workplace.

Founded 2003

  • Mission statement

The mission of the Spear programme is to ignite a vision of the possible in unemployed young people from disadvantaged backgrounds; to foster their confidence and ability to effect life changing choices and to develop their potential for responsible leadership and participation in the community.

  • Aims

    • address the root causes of underachievement and worklessness in young people by dealing with tough issues like the victim mentality and conflict resolution.
    • equip unemployed 16-24 year olds to enter employment or progress into further training and education.
