Resurgo’s flagship initiative is Spear, an award-winning programme helping young unemployed people from disadvantaged backgrounds into sustainable work or education. Spear has supported over 5,000 vulnerable young people over the past decade, with most facing significant barriers to employment, and we are proud of our track record of 75% remaining in work a year later.
Resurgo means to rise up again. It describes our belief in the unbelievable difference we can all make in the world around us when we work together. By connecting our creativity, talents and resources we can move mountains to create a greater society together. Resurgo connects people regardless of background around this shared vision. As a registered charity based out of local churches, our work is fully inclusive and open to all, so that together we can create a more inspiring society and a stronger legacy for future generations to enjoy.
Resurgo Trust aims to:
- Address the root causes of underachievement and worklessness in young people by dealing with tough issues like the victim mentality and conflict resolution.
- Equip unemployed 16-24 year olds to enter employment or progress into further training and education.
- Help emerging social entrepreneurs establish highly scalable and impactful enterprises through Resurgo Ventures.
