  • Mission statement

Hamelin Trust is an established Reigstered Charity supporting people with learning/multiple disabilities across South Essex in both residential and community settings. We provide a wide range of services including a day care centre, respite care home for children and adults, supported accommodation for adults and a growing range of outreach services to beneiciaries and their families. We also run a number of supported employment schemes through social enterprises including horticulture, furniture restoration and computer recycling and are further supported by three volunteer-run charity shops.

  • Aims

    Hamelin Trust aims to:

    • Disabled people should be enabled to live as fulfilled and independent a life as possible, in accordance with their wishes and wherever they choose.
    • Services, which enable such a lifestyle, should be provided in partnership with disabled people, their families or advocates, voluntary organisations and statutory services.
    • These partnerships should seek to provide services within the person's own community, enabling them to contribute to that community, and to retain and develop local links, friendships and interests.
