Founded 1980

  • Mission statement

Cornerstone is a leading provider of care for children, young people and adults with disabilities and additional support needs. With a 1,700 strong team of experienced and dedicated staff we provide a wide range of services to over 2,000 people and their families across Scotland. We care individuals of all ages and with a variety of needs, including learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism and dementia as well as running 6 social firms offering employment and training for the people we support.

Our aim is to enable the people we support to enjoy a valued life. For us this means empowering individuals to achieve their goals like moving out of their parent’s home to live independently, completing a college course, building skills for the workplace and creating a social circle to prevent isolation. These are things that most people take for granted but for the people we support this can only be achieved through the service network we provide.

The support we receive from individuals and businesses is vital to allow us to continue providing these services and helping each person we care for to make their life the best it can be.
