All Saints Community Development Project

Based on an open Christian ethos, we seek
• to enable and empower local people – working with people not on them
• to adopt a holistic approach to community need
• to facilitate community cohesion and support local economic growth
• to ensure users are fully engaged and involved in service design.

by
• building and operating a centre for healthy living and spiritual welfare at the
heart of Kings Heath, Birmingham
• providing opportunities for employment and volunteering
• making the most of the integration of the range of facilities on one site.
• encouraging creative working between the medical centre, children’s, young
people’s and older people’s groups and the arts and education programme
leading to a more effective and holistic facility for Kings Heath.

We will provide these services:
• develop and expand All Saints Youth Project to better support local young
people particularly those who are disadvantaged and disengaged.
• develop and expand our work with pre-school and primary school children
• develop our work with older people through provision of a day care centre
and a resource centre offering a range of activities and healthy living
programmes
• foster community-based arts and education activities designed to promote
community reconciliation, social inclusion and improve local life.

in these facilities
• a new health centre for King’s Heath, offering expanded services.
• a new and improved range of community buildings for neighbourhood use
• new purpose-built facilities for our work with young people and older people
• a community café with a healthy eating ethos at the heart of the complex
• a renewed church builing for sontemparary worship, community arts and
education use
• a new Village Square as the focal point for the community, an amenity for local
people and a location for a farmers market and other community enterprises..
