  • Mission statement

BSARCS is a charitable organisation that exists to support mainly, but not entirely, women who have been affected by sexual violence at any time in their lives.

We recognise that sexual violence can affect everyone regardless of gender, race, religion, culture, sexuality, age or disability.

We also acknowledge that sexual violence is predominantly experienced by women and predominantly perpetrated by men and therefore, all our staff and volunteers are women.

Central to our mission is that we listen to and believe survivors and aim to raise awareness and understanding of sexual violence.

We are committed to equality, diversity and accessibility.

Through caring and empathy we aim to empower people to regain control of their lives and make positive decisions about their futures.

We offer confidentiality within appropriate boundaries.
