PF Counselling Service

We provide counselling and psychotherapy support to the communities of Edinburgh, without charging a fee. We also support the training of counsellors by providing supervised placements.

Founded 1986

  • Mission statement

Our vision is to enable people to embrace life more fully through the growth, changes and healing that can take place through the counselling process. We offer a professional service where each person is appreciated and valued, their beliefs and situation respected, regardless of their ability to pay. Clients self refer and contribute what they can afford.

We have a professionally trained team of counsellors who give their time voluntarily offering counselling sessions on a weekly basis. All are trained and either qualified or in the final stages of their diploma level training and adhere to the COSCA Statement of Ethics and Code of Practice. Counsellors receive both individual and group supervision on a monthly basis with external supervisors as well as further professional development workshops throughout the year.
