  • Mission statement

Our mission is to relieve poverty & distress by providing good quality re-used household goods to people in need living in Stockport, helping them to establish a more stable, healthy & independent lifestyle. We aim to turn their accommodation into a home.

Our clients include homeless people going into accommodation, refugees, elderly people, lone parents and young people; basically all those who cannot afford to buy the items they need to make a house into a home.

Each year The Furniture Station makes approximately 2000 collections and 1000 deliveries; delivers around 3,500 items of furniture and household items and helps over 1000 families and individuals in the Borough of Stockport each year. We expect to make a significant contribution to the lives of the individuals and families that we support and continue to expand to meet ever increasing demands.

  • Aims

    The Furniture Station aims to:

    • To improve the wellbeing of Stockport residents & allow them to establish a more stable & independent lifestyle
    • To support vulnerable people & their families to maintain their tenancy
