  • Mission statement

The aim of the Chesney Trust for Education in Malawi is to help end gender disparity in education in Malawi, to reduce child mortality and improve antenatal health, and to develop a global partnership, in line with UN Millennium Goals.

The aim is to work with the local community, especially the Malawi Board of Trustees, School Governors and school staff, to expand the school which is now in its fourth year, with 140 pupils, so that it becomes eventually an independent girls' secondary boarding school with a total roll of about 300 girls.

Our next stage is to provide further staff accommodation, upgrade the kitchen facilities, build a science block and provide electricity on site.
