Magpie Dance

Magpie has carved out a national reputation for its exciting and inspiring approach to inclusive, creative dance. We have been providing opportunities for people with learning disabilities in community settings in South East London and beyond for 30 years. Growing from a single 45 minute weekly inclusive dance session in a social service centre to an acclaimed organisation delivering high quality dance experiences for over 300 people with learning disabilities annually

    Our mission is unlocking individual potential and ability, to be at the forefront of dance for people with learning disabilities. Our aim is to support people with learning disabilities to grow their life skills, such as communication skills, build confidence and self-esteem and contribute to improved physical health and mental wellbeing. Through providing long-term opportunities we aim to reduce isolation and improve social interaction with peers for Children, Young People and Adults with learning disabilities
