We give people a voice so that they can fight for the rights they deserve but do not have. A right to education. A right to health. A right to stay on ancestral land. A right to financial stability and a right to have a say in the decisions that shape the future. Together with our partners in Tanzania, we strive to find solutions, empowering individuals and communities with the ability to lift themselves out of poverty and bring about change.
Together with our partners in Tanzania we address injustice and strengthen the capacity of individuals and communities to demand and exercise their rights. We share our learning with communities in the UK and Tanzania to change perceptions, challenge inequality and increase understanding of global interdependence.
African Initiatives aims to:
- Through partnership, to enable people and communities in Africa to better meet their needs, claim their rights and increase their well-being.
