African Initiatives

We focus on giving people a voice so that they can fight for the rights they deserve but do not have. A right to an education. A right to access health. A right to stay on their land. A right to financial stability and a right to have a say in the decisions that shape their futures. Together with our partners in Africa, we strive to find African solutions to African problems and empower individuals and communities with the ability to lift themselves out of poverty and bring about change.

Founded 1997

  • Mission statement

We share our learning with communities in the UK and Africa to change perceptions, challenge inequality and increase understanding of global interdependence

  • Aims

    • Through partnership, to develop the capacity and skills of the people of Africa in order that they may better meet their own needs, claim their rights and increase their well being.
