Weizmann UK was established in 1950 to increase support and awareness of the outstanding research and accomplishments of the Weizmann Institute's community of scientists.

Founded more than a decade before the State itself, the Weizmann Institute has pursued and achieved scientific goals since its establishment in 1934.
With its five faculties - Mathematics and Computers Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry and Biology - its is home to 2,600 scientists, graduate students, researchers and administrative staff. The scientists work in one of the world's finest multidisciplinary facilities, set in a serene 300 acre campus - a tranquil environment designed to inspire curiosity and stimulate discovery.
There are no boundaries between scientific disciplines at the Institute. With over 4 interdisciplinary research centres, multiple points of view are brought to the same lab.
