Universal Comedy provides Comedy workshops and courses as a resocialisation route for young people and adults who have become very isolated in the community due to long term ill health, mental health or addictions.
Our Courses build up confidence and self esteem and enable people to see the lighter side of life to improve their outlook. We provide them with skills training in idea creation, writing, sketch writing and improvisation, and show them how to create, develop and promote their own ideas into the community, further education and employment.
Our workshops improve aspirations and reinstil a sense of purpose and direction to people's lives, while at the same time providing a natural platform for them to make lasting friendships.
Our methodolgy works for all ages and conditions in the community, and we are developing a growing network where people can share and exchange their ideas to support each in their efforts.
