  • Mission statement

    Spitalfields City Farm is a community space that inspires and that everyone can enjoy.

    Spitalfields City Farm is a well-utilised community farm providing recreational, educational and environmental activities and services to the community of east London and beyond.

    Current services include:
    Educational activities for local schools, out of school activities and holiday clubs
    Wild club Saturday club
    Family volunteering
    Supported volunteering for vulnerable groups, particularly young people
    Training, including vocational training and basic skills to enhance life skills and employability
    Sustainable living initiatives
    Bengali women’s group (Coriander Club)
    Gardening sessions
    Hosting and participating in cultural events
    Tea Hut
    Farm shop selling fresh veg and farm produce
    Corporate Team Days
    Free entry and open 6 days a week - Tuesday to Sunday
    Enterprise zone
    Safe and welcoming environment for our community
    Access to gardening opportunities in our community garden

    We also work with housing associations to improve community cohesion using communal gardens to bring people together to share and grow.

    We are an integral part of our community in a very deprived part of Tower Hamlets, offering a variety of volunteering opportunities to improve overall mental and physical health

  • Aims

    Spitalfields City Farm aims to:

    • · To give people the opportunity to become active members of their community and encourage their participation in the development of the Farm
    • · To explore and promote the benefits of healthy and sustainable lifestyles
    • · To provide access to animals, provide education about them and promote animal welfare.
    • · To provide children and young people with a safe, stimulating and inclusive space in which to play and to connect with nature
