Dorset Youth Association

Dorset Youth Association aims to improve the quality of life for Children, Young People and their Families in Dorset.

Founded 1943

  • Mission statement

The object of the Association is to improve the quality of life for young people resident in Dorset. This is achieved by delivering a programme of informal education, which promotes personal and social development and enables children and young people to reach their full potential and to become valued members of society. The Association encourages young people’s participation and involvement in projects and undertakes targeted work with the most vulnerable.

Infrastructure support is offered to a network of volunteers and groups who provide services for young people, particularly in rural areas. The needs of young people and volunteers are highlighted in a range of forums at a local, regional and national level.
