The Sick Children's Trust

The Sick Children's Trust provides 'Home from Home' accommodation for the families of seriously ill children receiving care at major paediatric hospitals around the UK.

Founded 1982

  • Mission statement

The Sick Children's Trust exists to support and promote the recovery of seriously ill children and babies and further to support the fabric and well being of the family as a whole. We believe that children should never have to be separated from their families while in hospital receiving treatment for serious illnesses.

That's why we provide free, high-quality 'Home from Home' accommodation for families, close to the children's wards at hospitals in London, Leeds, Sheffield, Cambridge and Newcastle upon Tyne. These 'Homes from Home' provide private family bedrooms and shared living areas including kitchens, lounges, bathrooms, playrooms and laundry facilities.

  • Aims

The Sick Children's Trust aims to:

    • To alleviate some of the practical, financial and emotional difficulties experienced by families of seriously ill children and babies.
    • To contribute towards the positive recovery of seriously ill children and babies.
