Yorkshire Schools Exploring Society

For over 40 years the Yorkshire Schools Exploring Society (YSES) has been running expeditions for young people from across the Yorkshire region. An expedition experience that is both challenging and fun and builds essential skills in each of the members, developing personal confidence, teamwork, leadership and a spirit of adventure and exploration. The Society has run a 5 year expedition programme - returning to sites over the last 25 years adding real scientific value to the fieldwork carried out.

The expeditions typically include a mixture of scientific fieldwork, community projects and adventurous activities. We constantly strive to offer exciting and challenging expeditions that are of interest to young people, to remain at the forefront of youth development
