Friends of the Elderly

We aspire to a society where all older people are treated with respect and have the opportunity to live fulfilled lives.

Founded 1905

  • Mission statement

We support older people especially those in need due to physical or mental frailty, isolation or poverty.

We do this by providing high quality caring services tailored to the needs of the individual, we give grants to help older people struggling to live on a low income and our befriending services and work in the local communities is helping prevent and overcome loneliness in the older population.

With the number of lonely older people set to increase by 40% in the next 15 years it is so important that we try and change the future of loneliness together.
