The Baby Equipment Loan Service and Toy Library

The Baby Equipment Loan Service was established in 1985 and the aims of the project are:
To provide access to high quality baby equipment and safety goods at a nominal cost - reducing potential stigmatisation and use of inferior products.
To work with parents, appropriate agencies and others to raise awareness of child safety issues with a view to reducing accidents.
We are committed to ensure the project delivery matches and meets the needs of local families and their children using the Every Child Matters Agenda as our guide.
The project also offers a well stocked selection of stimulating and educational toys and play equipment thus enhancing children's learning opportunities.
The service is available to residents of North Tyneside in receipt of benefits or on a low income including BME groups, Asylum Seekers and Refugees.
