The Priory Church of St Bartholomew the Great

Founded by a courtier of Henry I in 1123, St Bartholomew the Great is the oldest Church in London. It is a stunning example of Norman architecture and attracts people from around the world who come for its impressive history, beautiful music and traditional liturgy.

It is the duty and privilege of the Parochial Church Council (PCC) to promote the mission of the Church and ensure that its fabric and monuments are maintained and preserved in their best possible condition.

The PCC also works to find new ways of engaging visitors, opening up new spaces, improving educational resources and ensuring that St Bartholomew the Great continues to benefit the City’s diverse community, and beyond.
