Open Arms International

- Open Arms International works to bring relief from physical, emotional and spiritual suffering by meeting people’s most basic needs in parts of Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Mozambique and India. We do this by partnering with local Christian churches to support the work that they are doing, and also by sending short-term, high-impact outreach teams to perform acts of service in the fields of community health and Christian ministry.
- We are currently developing a permanent base in Eldoret, Kenya, to provide ongoing support to the local community, homes for HIV orphans, medical and dental provision to all irrespective of class, gender, age or race, and a base from which to reach out to other parts of Africa.
- We are looking to develop a feeding programme for the street children in some of the slum areas of Eldoret, and also have been asked to provide practical care within the local prisons: both are areas of increased need since the unrest following the elections in December 2007
