Orskov Foundation

The Orskov Foundation works in partnership with rural communities to help provide opportunities relevant to local agricultural needs, enabling people and communities to find solutions to the complex problems they face and move towards self-sufficiency on their own terms. Each project is set up using the revolving-fund principle, a simple method of providing communities with access to affordable credit to buy what they identify as being most needed. When they are able, they pay back the investment, usually in the form of livestock offspring, to a community fund which enables others to benefit, ensuring that the fund revolves and grows indefinitely.
