Mission statement
Our mission: Working together to end homelessness.
CATH offer support and services in a totally non discriminatory manner to men and women over the age of 16 years through a Direct Access Hostel, Day Centre, Floating Support Team, Out Reach Team, Literacy Worker, Volunteer Coordinator and Charity Shop.
Each project provides support tailored to meet the specific needs of the individual service user and CATH development workers can offer support directly and/or access the support required from outside agencies to ensure the best possible outcome for the service user.
The CATH objective provides for the delivery of support to service users on a high tolerance level thereby allowing support to start and continue whilst individuals are still currently concerned with issues such as abuse of alcohol and or substance.
This degree of support can only be provided through a continuous staff assessment programme which address’s and maintains the level and standard of competency required by our staff to meet the complex needs of the service user group.
The service we provide is based around the standards and principles as recommended by the Scottish Executive’s National Care Standards for Housing Support Services & Care Homes for People with Drug & Alcohol Misuse Problems.
The main principles under pinning our service are:
Dignity / Privacy / Choice / Safety / Realising Potential / Equality /Diversity -
