Uganda River of Life Ministries

UROLM is a UK registered charity and partners with Ugandan NGO River of Life Church. UROLM particularly focuses on supporting projects in Nyendo, Masaka, Uganda, a deprived urban area within Masaka.

  • Mission statement

    UROLM aims to respond with love and compassion to the desperate needs of the people of Uganda from hardship, sickness or infirmity. Nyendo has a population of about 35,000. 95% of people do not have access to clean water and sanitation. HIV/AIDS incidence is twice the national average. Our work is underpinned by our Christian faith, but our projects and programmes are inclusive and open to all.

    We currently help about 900 people through

    1. White Eagles Project (Homes and Families) - providing quality education, intensive mentoring, a safe and secure halfway-home and resettlement for orphans and other vulnerable children in Masaka, Uganda.
    2. Bujja Farm: a 7 acre mixed-farm. It produces foodstuffs for the WEP.
    3. Tomorrow’s Leaders: a series of programmes that aims to teach, train and empower tomorrow's leaders through Christian Discipleship, expanding participants horizons, inspiring them to 'fly high'.
    4. Synergy Sports Strategy provides inspirational sporting opportunities and life-skills training for children aged 8-18 years in Nyendo.
    5. Community Outreach Programmes to the local Hospitals, Prison and Community, providing immediate support to the most destitute.
    6. Community Health - secondment of a Doctor to the local hospital’s Paediatric Ward, working with other NGOs on Outreach into rural areas, and researching rural malnutrition.
