HOPE International Development Agency

HOPE brings help and hope to the world's poorest families. Our vision is to work with local communities to bring clean water to villages in Ethiopia.

Founded 2002

  • Mission statement

HOPE UK's immediate mission is to help the people of Bonke, in southern Ethiopia, gain access to and benefit from clean water by working with communities to construct cost-effective, enduring and safe water systems, to raise awareness about good health, hygiene and sanitation practices and to establish community structures to manage and maintain the water supply. When we have reached all of the families in Bonke we will move on to the next region where no other charities are working.

  • Aims

HOPE International Development Agency aims to:

    • extend help to the poorest of the poor so they can regain or improve their self-sufficiency.
    • create long-term, self-sustaining benefits for people by teaching them income generating skills, and developing family and community infrastructures like education and vocational training.
