Action Against Hunger UK

We are committed to ending child hunger

Founded 1984

  • Mission statement

Action Against Hunger-UK (ACF-UK) goal is to reduce hunger and mortality from malnutrition and associated diseases in children. ACF-UK is part of the Action Contre la Faim International Network (ACF-IN). We work in both emergency situations caused by conflict and natural disasters, and on sustainable development issues, in the fields of nutrition, livelihoods and food security, water and sanitation, health, where feasible through civil society and national governments.

Our vision is a world in which all children and adults are able to fulfil their right to sufficient food and water, to live secure in the knowledge that they have sufficient food and assets to survive in the future, have equitable access to the resources that sustain life, and are able to attain these with dignity. The ultimate goal of all our programmes is to enable people in need to regain their autonomy and self-sufficiency as soon as possible.
