Vision North Somerset

Vision North Somerset supports 1,600 people with sight loss in North Somerset. We aim to promote independence, provide emoitional support, improve social inclusion and reduce poverty.

  • Mission statement

    Vision North Somerset helps people throughout North Somerset come to terms with the devastating effects of losing their sight.

    We aim to provide practical solutions to assist with daily living skills and mobility to enable blind people to retain their independence.

    Social clubs and other activities improve quality of life and ease the sense of isolation and loneliness felt by many elderly visually impaired people.

    Vision is very proud of it's 89 volunteers who help support our members via the Hospital Information Service, by providing benefit and debt advice, by running our social clubs and by befriending and visiting individual blind people, many of whom are unable to leave their own home.
