The Bermondsey Artists' Group

Founded in 1983, when we took over a derelict café in Southwark Park, the Bermondsey Artists' Group manage Cafe Gallery Projects London which is an organisation committed to centering art and education within the community. To achieve this we manage two venues in Bermondsey in Southeast London: the Cafe Gallery – Southeast London’s leading artist-led purpose-build venue for contemporary art and Dilston Grove – London’s most important raw space for installation and site-specific art.

In addition to a wide-ranging programme of exhibitions, we also manage a series of education, life-long-learning, outreach and community outreach projects that seek to break down the real and perceived barriers to the fullest participation in the visual arts by all sections of the community.
