The Royal Forestry Society

We are committed to promoting the wise management of trees and woods. We do this by enabling experienced foresters and arboriculturists to share their knowledge with each other and with newcomers to the field. We have over 4,000 members including professional woodsmen and women, students, woodland owners, ecologists and members of the public - anyone, in fact, who loves trees and wants to know more about them and their care.
We have a network of 21 local divisions across England and Wales who organise woodland meetings and visits in their areas. We also produce the Quarterly Journal of Forestry and a fortnightly e-newsletter, and manage model woodlands of our own in the Chilterns, Leicestershire and Powys.
