Change of Scene
Change of Scene
The objectives of Change of Scene are to make a life changing difference for disadvantaged children. Our attendees, aged 6-18 years, often from the more socially deprived areas of Surrey and Hampshire, display a wide range of complex social, emotional and/or behavioural difficulties causing them to flounder in mainstream
education and so become either temporarily or permanently excluded; all are in urgent
need of a life changing experience to help them fulfil their potential.
To provide respite for abused and disadvantaged children. To help them gain strength from the natural environment. To provide a sanctuary to which they can return. Ethos - To care and be cared for. To be valued and know self worth. To learn without being taught. To replace negativity with positivity. To gain strength through nature. To have fun and be carefree. To create a happy memory that can never be taken away.
The project is located in a tranquil south Farnham valley where we also care for rescued animals. The formal objects of registration are - in the interest of social welfare to provide facilities, advice, assistance, education and recreational and leisure time activities for young people up to the age of 18 living in the counties of Surrey and Hampshire or in the area of Greater London who have need by reason of their age, sex, disablement, poverty or social and economic circumstances with the object of improving the conditions of life of such young persons and developing their skills, capabilities to enable them to better participate in society.
