The National Children's Bureau is a leading children's charity that for 50 years has been improving the lives of children and young people, especially the most vulnerable.

  • Mission statement

    To address social issues to ensure that children and young people reach their potential. Through our fantastic partnerships and networks we aim to make a difference nationally and across the children's services sector. Issues that we address include childhood bereavement, sex education, disability, bullying, literacy and ensuring that children have access to safe play in their communities.

    National Children's Bureau aims to:

    • Improve perceptions of children and young people
    • Enhance the health, learning, experiences and opportunities of children and young people
    • Encourage the building of positive and supportive relationships for children and young people with families, carers, friends and communities
    • Reduce inequalities of opportunity in childhood
    • Ensure children and young people can use their voice to improve their lives and the lives of those around them
