Situated in London's second most-deprived ward (Golborne Ward), the VCA combines one of the country's oldest adventure playgrounds with a vibrant community centre.

  • Mission statement

    The Venture Community Association (known locally as “The Venture”) seeks to offer a deprived community a unique combination of opportunities:
    • Access to adventure play and sports for children of all ages and backgrounds, including those with special needs and/or who are socially excluded
    • Encouragement to live healthily by making exercise and healthy eating more enjoyable
    • Opportunities for learning, personal growth and development, with a particular focus on developing self-esteem, ambition, aspiration, and employment prospects
    • Events offering fun and enjoyment for people of all ages, with an increasing emphasis on building inter-generational relationships
    • A community space for people to express themselves, celebrate together, and meet to develop mutual support and a sense of community

    • Promote healthier lifestyles by making exercise and healthy eating more enjoyable for both adults and children
    • Make learning more fun, and fun more educational for children
    • Improve life chances, community engagement, and community cohesion for adults
