Enfield Clubhouse is a member driven charity set up to help people with a mental illness recover purposeful lives in the community. Enfield Clubhouse aims to help people with mental health problems such as schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, psychotic depression and anxiety disorders find and maintain meaningful work, social lives and supportive relationships. The members and staff work together to provide a work ordered day comprising education, training, work and social activities and involvement in decision making and planning.
Members' individual achievements include completing first stage in food hygiene certificate training, creating a MySpace website and uploading self-composed music, starting voluntary work one day a week in Enfield, completing a college course, moving into own flat after sixteen years living in hospital wards and starting self-employment.
