North London Hospice

North London Hospice tries to ensure that those living with a terminal illness are pain free, have the best possible quality of life & can die in the place of their choice. Care is given free to all.

Founded 1984

  • Mission statement

Our vision is that everyone living in the London Boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey should receive the specialist palliative care (including practical, spiritual and emotional support) that they require to minimise their symptoms, maximise their quality of life and to live and die with dignity in the surroundings of their choice.
Our vision includes their friends, family and carers and is that they have the support they need to cope with any difficulties arising from the illness and to recover and rebuild their lives afterwards.
We acknowledge that as we are serving a population of approximately one million people, we will not always be able to be the direct provider of care and that to achieve this vision we will need to build partnerships with the NHS, social services and voluntary, religious and cultural organisations to assist them to provide the best possible end-of-life care.
