Whizz-Kidz

Our aim is to ensure that every disabled child has an opportunity to be something special…a kid.

There are an estimated 70,000 disabled children and young people in the UK waiting for a wheelchair that fits their young lives. That’s where we come in. Whizz-Kidz provides disabled children with the essential wheelchairs and other mobility equipment they need to lead fun and active childhoods.

Founded 1990

  • Mission statement

Whizz-Kidz is a charity that is all about giving disabled children the chance to lead a more independent life. Our service meets their individual mobility needs and ensures they get the right mobility equipment, advice and training at the right time.

We are virtually 100% reliant on voluntary funds raised through events, trusts, companies and individuals. We need your support to raise more money so that more young people can lead an active childhood.

  • Aims

    Whizz-Kidz aims to:

    • Each year we aim to provide more children and young people with appropriate mobility equipment than ever before.
    • We also aim to provide disabled children and young people with wheelchair skills training, advice and information, opportunities to meet and have fun at local clubs,
    • Importantly, we aim to influence at the highest levels of government to ensure that child mobility and the needs of disabled children are high on the political agenda.
