MANCHESTER JEWISH COMMUNITY CARE

Manchester Jewish Community Care caters for the special needs of Jewish people in Manchester who are visually impaired, physically disabled, have a dementia related illness, are elderly and frail, lonely or isolated.

The Nicky Alliance Day Centre, a project of MJCC, is a purpose built centre where 240 members come on a regular basis to engage in stimulating activities, make friends and enjoy a hot 3 course meal. MJCC must raise £400,000 per year just to keep going. Last year we offered our community:
11,000 day centre attendances
8,000 meals on wheels
800 dignified bathing sessions
12,000 volunteer hours
4,000 talking newspapers delivered free of charge to those who are registered blind.
