Claremont is about people having opportunities to shine and live happier, healthier, connected lives. We provide a spectrum of services and work mostly with isolated and lonely older people.

  • Mission statement

    Claremont is interested in creativity as a response to being alive. We explore the relationship between creativity, physical, emotional, and spiritual well being and we facilitate ways for people to find personal well being and social connectedness through creativity.

    Based in Islington, London, our work, especially with older people, has won recognition nationally for its de-stigmatised approach and high levels of success in reducing loneliness and depression.

    Claremont aims to:

    • Claremont is about people having opportunities to shine and live happier, healthier, connected lives. We provide a multidisciplinary spectrum of direct services and activities based on six major things that research and experience suggest makes for happier, healthier people and communities. These six themes run through all we do at Claremont. In addition to our own services we also support a huge range of community groups and organisations and function as a vibrant community hub in the heart of central Islington. We work with a range of people, especially those who are isolated and lonely, and we have substantial experience providiing services for older people. Claremont's services are mostly used by Islington residents.
