Headway Thames Valley

Headway promotes wider understanding of all aspects of brain injury and provides information, support and relevant services to people with brain injury, their family and carers in order for them to lead as normal a life as possible. We are now in our 20th year and run a successful day centre 4 days a week. Clients are involved in many activities including music and movement, arts and crafts, sports, IT, cognitive therapy and social skills. For some, it is the only time that they meet with other people. We are currently raising funds for re-location to new premises where we plan to install a neurological-re-habilitation facility to enable individuals who require ongoing re-habilitation to use equipment that can improve and maintain their quality of life, namely people with acquired brain injury, but, as there is no provision of this type within a 30 mile radius, we have identified many other people who would benefit from this facility in the Greater Henley area. These include stroke victims and physically disabled children.
