HAVERING WOMEN'S AID

Havering Women’s Aid provides a place of safety for women and children escaping domestic violence. We can offer practical and emotional support for residents at the refuge and those living in the borough. The refuge has 5 self contained flats for up to 9 women and 25 children. We work in partnership with other agencies to promote the welfare of women and children suffering from domestic violence. Havering Women’s Aid organise and run several drop INS and support groups across the borough. Children’s workers provide specific services for children and young people living in the refuge and in local schools including play sessions, after school and homework clubs, holiday clubs, counselling services, outreach services for those who have left the refuge. Help and support for children and young people at local schools who are living with domestic violence. We also provide childcare facilities at drop INS and support groups.
