A registered charity, Hull CVS has been supporting the sustainable development of voluntary and community groups and promoting volunteering in Hull since 1981.

Our work is guided by the values of promoting justice, equality and improving quality of life. Whether you are a small community-led group or a large one with paid members of staff Hull CVS is here to help you.

    The role of Hull CVS is to support the sustainable development of voluntary and community groups and volunteering in order to promote justice, equality and improved quality of life.
    Working in partnership with others, Hull CVS:

    o Brings organisations together to share information and good practice, enabling the voluntary sector to work more effectively;
    o Promotes the value of the sector and of volunteering;
    o Supports the development of new groups and organisations;
    o Provides services which help established organisations and groups to do their work to maximum effect;
    o Is actively involved in enabling community and voluntary groups and organisations to have a voice in issues of common concern

    • Promote the valuable work of voluntary and community groups and the importance of volunteering to the City
    • Support the development of new groups
    • Provide support services which help groups to improve their work for maximum impact
